Serbia 2-0 Scotland

Scotland went into this game knowing that they needed a win to keep their qualification hopes alive. In a fairly uneventful first half, Marshall was called on to make saves from Basta and Duricic. Scotland also had a penalty shout when a George Boyd cross appeared to come of a hand, but nothing was given. Early in the second half Scotland had the ball in the net when Naismith hit a great shot past their keeper, but he was clearly offside. Just before the hour mark, the ball broke for Jordan Rhodes who was through on goal but he shot straight at the keeper. Serbia then went straight up the park and took the lead. Tosic crossed the ball in and Whittaker played a defensive tackle only for the ball to fall for Duricic who turned and put the ball into an empty net. A few minutes later a poor pass from Caldwell gave the ball away on the edge of the box to Tomovic, who had a shot stopped by Marshall only for the rebound to fall to Duricic who placed it into an empty net and make it 2-0. In the last minute Serbia almost got a third when a shot by Ivanovic went inches past the post. With both Croatia and Belgium winning, this meant that Scotland's qualification chances were officially over.
