Things were positive going into the second leg after the 1-0 win in Greece, but from the start, Greece looked more up for the game and dangerous. They took the lead after only 20 minutes. Karetsas made a run down the right wing before passing to Vagiannidis, who played the ball into the box, where an unmarked Konstantelias placed the ball in the bottom corner to make it 1-0 Greece, and wipe out Scotland's first leg lead. A few minutes before half time, Greece doubled their lead in the match and took the lead in the tie for the first time. A brilliant piece of play from the Greeks saw Giannoulis down the left wing play the ball to Konstantelias just inside the box, and he layed it off to Karetsas to his right and he hit a great shot into the far corner that had Gordon rooted to the spot. Thirteen seconds into the second half, the tie was over. Greece scored straight from kickoff. A loose pass from Christie was intercepted by Konstantelias just outside the box, and he layed the ball off to Tzolis, who hit a powerful shot past Gordon into the right hand corner. the game finished 3-0 to Greece and Scotland were well and trully beaten, in what was an embarrasing performance; and as a result were relegated to League B in the Nations League. Hopefully this was just a bad day at the office, like the Ukraine World Cup Playoff, as Greece are in Scotland's World Cup qualifying group along with Denmark and Belarus.
