Scott Brown has withdrawn from the squad for the double header amid fears that he may aggravate an ankle injury. Sunderland's Phil Bardsley has been called in to replace him. The former Rangers player qualifies as his father is Scottish.
Gordon and Caldwell Recalled For Scotland (30 Sep 2010)
Keeper Craig Gordon and defender Gary Caldwell have both been recalled to the Scotland squad following injuries. Caldwell may play in one of the games but Allan McGregor is favourite to play in goals ahead of Gordon who is still recovering from a broken arm.

Craig Levein has decided to drop striker Kris Boyd following a poor start to his Middlesbrough career. He has scored just once in eight games this season, but Levein stated that he would return to the squad when his form improved.
