Scotland See Off Iceland (1 Apr 2009)

Scotland gained a much needed three points after a close match against Iceland ended in a 2-1 victory. Goals by Ross McCormack and Steven Fletcher either side of a Sigurdsson goal. Scotland had Gordon to thank as he made two saves in the last minute.

Scots Outclassed In Amsterdam (28 Mar 2009)

A decimated Scotland team suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Holland. First half goals by Huntelaar and Van Persie, and a second half penalty by Kuyt kept up Holland's 100% record in the group. There was also some controversy as Gary Caldwell had a goal disallowed for no known reason.

SFA wish change to Eligability (1 Mar 2009)

SFA Chief Executive Gordon Smith is seeking a change to the eligibility of players who can play for Scotland. He hopes to extend the criteria so that players who have spent five years in Scotland can wear the dark blue.
