In 2007 it was changed when it was decided that the FIFA World Rankings would be used for World Cup draws. The FIFA World Ranking was thought to be more accurate as when the UEFA Coefficient was used for the Euro 2008 qualification draw, both World Cup finalists were drawn in the same group. |
